T. Hayes - Act 1: Rogue
Once upon a time there was a mockingbird
But not just any mockingbird he was the heir to the throne of the village, a young prince
He lived in a beautiful forest with beautiful creatures of all shapes and stature
And in the spring a bloom like no other
A place where one wouldn't expect less than perfect harmony
But you see the young mockingbird didn't view the world as everybody else did
The town, they ridiculed him, called him all types of names
And expressed slander as if for sport, and was deemed unfit for the throne
The young bird hated his home just as much as they hated him
Everyday he professed his greatness to the forest, that he would be the greatest king ever to live
Nobody really took him as serious as he did and he felt mutilated for it
His voice had no echo even in the solitude of night
After taking such mistreatment for sometime he decided
It was time for him to leave and start his own empire and prove everybody wrong
So he takes for the sky
Uncertain but determined he was
Couldn't anyone take him down
