Altayon - Letter of Treason, Pt. 2

And so my friend in past treason ruled over my betrayal
And the sickness that is trust I respectfully release you of your vow...

Here in a moment of question, my eyes have been blessed
All I had remembered of you was in wasted torment

My path was given to me under light's forgotten gaze
In remorse, I must let you go with these words I do show

Tempered through weeks cold my hands held to my side
Fate wanted nothing more of me; weeks melted away months
I have known years with them fitting of life to take me away

Where warmth fell asleep beside me I craved coldness
In the secret of betrayal, a blood bond was released
Broken words foreseen of a friend's coldest deceit
Empty in your depth I walked in hollow desire

Moods colored over in gray emotion opening to faded stars
I could only taste the ends when I felt life in those few around me

So it has come to this the letter in which we speak
Weaken thoughts fall fade to your mind lust to read on dies

Each line, every word, passing thoughts, looming tones
My last words are those you see draining your life away
I send death with her lust

I shall show no pity for the weak
In your betrayal, my death will grow strength
This battle will not end in a letter; death to our war

Where warmth fell asleep beside me I craved coldness
Empty in your depth I walked in hollow desire
Moods colored over in gray emotion opening to faded stars
I could only taste the ends when I felt life in those few around me

So his corpse lay rotting his words a faded tragedy
Sickness no longer touches his tongue his wife in mourning's fall
For peace will cloud over his torment and woe
