Lou Brindell - We Can't Stop

We can't stop
Even If we wanted to
No we don't stop
We just go on and go on

On and on and on and
Follow me into the dawning
Morning coming haunting
You're seeking something wanting
Ship is sinkin drowning
Overflowing fountain
Follow me into the mountains
Where Water won't cover the ground and

We don't need any more static
We don't believe in the magic
All we need is each other got nothing else to lose
We can all see the wave crashing
You can pretend it ain't happening
Tell a lie a hundred times it still won't make it true

Even if a hundred of million buy it it still don't make it proof
Except that a hundred million humans aren't that difficultly duped
Wondering if it's even worth the struggle troubled oceans rise
Bottomless glass salty potions from the cries of open eyes

The way it's going now The way it's been After sunset
Some forget a new day begins again eventually but bet there
Will be
Bloodshed sweat and tears before the break a dawn it's been a long time comin but

We can't stop
Even If we wanted to
No we don't stop
We just go on and go on

Maybe we see morning
Maybe we keep mourning
Maybe awaken from sleep apnea and heed the warning
Start to breathe deeper before you die trying
We the people need a leader not to be blindsided

By the reaches of evil hindsight believably twenty twenty
Repeated history lessons when you feed the kids centuries of lies
And most teachers dont see past their syllabus
The Willingness to connect and really effect different lives

But some do and we love you for it
The courage to move forward in the face of all this horror
It takes strength more than I can imagine
And real faith in humanity that change can really happen given the chance we'll stand up

Just one woman one man to take off these handcuffs liberate us from this nightmare
We're held captive in
But until then it's just wishful thinking while the walls are crashin in
I'll grab the mic and keep on singing saying
