Validation is a funny thing because while we shouldn't need it, we crave it
We want to have all the confidence in the world
Yet we sell ourself short only in hopes that we actually are
What we hope we are and wait for people to tell us
But what does that instill
That the number of likes equates to confidence
That the amount of records we sell equal our success
If that's what you're after it's only a route to failure
Because you will never be satisfied if you look externally for your validation
The only validation you ever need comes from you
Are you happy
Do you like it
If that's the case, you are validated
So stop looking for what you already have and just love it all
