Justin Demers - Grey

I brought us some brushes we can use
And we marked it in pencil
So wear comfortable shoes
And thanks for coming in today
We had to wake up early again
It keeps getting harder to do so instead
You can tell me that you didn't notice
That's perfectly fine
I'll be here
Because it's okay
To paint me grey
I don't mind the dream pang
That river runs
Without anyone
To say hello, oh hello
Well I pray by the end I am willing to see
How an astronaut breathes
When the earth isn't under his feet
Could you guess that I've been drinking again
Well it isn't safe but I turned to my right
And saw downpouring rain and a man with a kite
And he smiled
So I'm sleeping alright
Because it's okay
To paint me grey
I don't mind the dream pang
That river runs
Without anyone
To say hello, oh hello
You were my diary lost on the road
The grandest example of time letting go
And I want you to find all those rings
That you lost at home
And don't you remember that thunderous sound
Of our hearts getting lost saying you will be found
And I promise the slides will come out right
Just given some time
