Justin Demers - 10 Balloons

There's a bench I like that sits in the park
Made of rotting oak and streaks of bark
And it brings about a breeze straight from the sea
I go down there when it gets cold
To tell myself I'm not that old
And forget the things that keep on hurting me
Like when a couple nights ago I left the lights on
In case that he decided to come home
And just the other day
The whole town threw a parade just for fun
Yeah just for fun
I guess there's no real reason
Or thing forcing me to say
How much I want to give this life away
But then I see the brightest moon
Or a kid with a red balloon
And that's enough to make me want to stay
Because a couple months ago I lost my car keys
I had to track him down out in the dark
And just the other day
The whole town threw a parade for my son
Yeah for my son
About twenty years ago my heart was broken
But there are things that still make me feel good
Like driving up to Maine
Or the sound of the pouring rain
Or when the town decides to throw us a parade
Or when the town decides to throw us a parade
