JT the Griot - The Battle Is in Your Mind

The hunger for knowledge has always been the trigger to freedom
Ignorance can make you stay under devil's dome
For centuries he operated with the same tricks
Now i know used to go to bed but why i
Couldn't sleep
He fills your mind with some thoughts, now you're too busy for God
He projects pictures of your past, just to finish you off
You press on mute but you keep hearing his voice on repeat
You play a worship song the more you do, the voice increases
You tried to fight him in your mind, exhaussement came along
You cry to God cuz you feel like he has left you alone
Little by little you start to believe the devil's lies
Before you check your state of mind, you've joined the other side
The character of the enemy starts to manifest
A boastful attitude like gorillas, you beat your chest
You start to lean on your understanding like scientist
You think you know but you don't, that's the irony

It's in my mind, it's in my mind
It's in my mind
The battle, the battle it's in my mind
The battle it's in my mind
It's in my mind, it's in my mind
It's in my mind, it's in my mind
It's in my mind
The battle, the battle it's in my mind
The battle it's in my mind
It's in my mind, it's in my mind

My people are dying due to their lack of knowledge
In church every Sunday yet they don't live my promess
They come in tears before me praying that I set them free
When the truth it's in the scriptures that they barely read
They wait for a miracle that will never happen
But through my son Jesus Christ, it has already happened
They need miracles to confirm, it's supernatural
But if they act on my word, they'll see the impossible
Too accommodate to the Old Testament's ways
But I wish they knew the prophets desired the grace they have today
They wanna have Elijah the prophet kind of anointing
But my spirit brings the full portion of the anointing
Is it me who they seek or is it the grace I give?
Simon MAGASUSES who come to me just to receive
I see the tendency, they have to chase for vanities
But if the trumpets sound, will they qualify for Eternity?
