We were on the highway when we saw the plane go down
So we took the exit and we tracked the mushroom cloud
Never had we witnessed more disturbing sights and sounds
Tried our best to help as God amassed his body count

Sniffling as I hum the Bee Gees
Knowing this won't end like T.V.
Sinking in despair's so easy
But the child underneath me
Coughed up blood and started breathing

When his son committed murder, Adam turned and said
"Eve, we burned the bridge together and our evil spread
Now we have to learn to swim, it's not enough to tread
Maybe one day God will teach us how to fly instead"
