Nate the Boy Scout - Espionage

Excuse me for asking
But I think I really missed something
You know where's the ingenuity
Like a craft that's actually lasting
Oh well I'm sorry
I guess It's my mistake
I'll just shut up now
And let you run your race
Watching from the side lines
Picking up a cold case

Fake it till you make it
Well good luck with that
Look at these tied up fools
And their calling me wack
Don't get me started man
Im stepping in my zone
Just building my empire
And I don't really want a throne
I like being at your own level
It keeps me sharp and alert
And if push comes to shove
Then I can finally go berserk
I don't wanna be a loose cannon
But you might need a clerk
To clean up after I'm done
You might get murcked
You don't know what I've seen
And what's still stuck in my head
You should be terrified man
My sanities on a thread
Just ponder on any of this
And I dare you to try
Just go in head strong
And you'll save yourself some time
You know we're being watched
And Big Ben had some offspring
A.I.'s got a foothold
In what our future brings
It can filter our information
And what we can learn
Until it effects our judgment
And what we discern
Look at all this screen time
I don't think its really helping
Its easier to mitigate
And to shape us with promoting
Social media brought
A depression to this era
Yet I'm still apart of it
Just mining for my data
It measures our progress
And everything that we do
Pressuring us harder
With ever thought that we choose
It pushes us to insanity
And this hopeless feel
That we're all failures
And nothing it real
Everyone tries so hard
To tell me not to care
I've been trying for years
But I'm simply not there
Truth is a care deeply
And I feel into these situations
How I get bombarded
With all these accusations
Comparison to one another
Like we have to preform
Conform and now mend it
Like you're better than before
Just posting all of our energy
On these platforms to be seen
Just for an algorithm to analyze you
And tell you are less of a being
Our phones are tool
And the internet is mass connection
So why do we use this resource
With such little of a fraction
We play games and send little memes
You have more technology in your pocket
Than Apollo 13
I'm not trying to belittle
Simply enlighten
I've been using my phone as a tool
And my life's been popping
Made more money off this thing
Than all my jobs combined
All I'm trying to do
Is let you into my mind

When I say the midst
I mean the center
Of all this confusion
So I can hunker
Down in my thoughts
So I can be guarded
Sick of being in the crosshairs
Like I'm being targeted
I'm not just speaking out
Against these systems
They've been around for years
And they'll keep persisting
I just want my side lane
And for them to stop intruding
I look out for my future
And I'm always pruning
Life comes fast
And last ten years have been a blast
Technology advanced
And took over the scene
So now what happens
To that modern machine
I think they'll replace them
With a whole new scheme
It'll get replaced
Once there's something better
It might be by force
Or contracted in a letter
Its like a forced update
But in terms of your life
On that 2.0
It's a private heist
Privacy is dead
How we all get invaded
All the times I've recorded
Or video taped when faded
Guess I'll stand strong
Like a professional nude taker
When will we pull
The world wide breaker
Is that to far
But really think about it
So much stuff
Over exposed and explicit
Images to graphic
And emotionally wicket
Distorting our minds
And imagination gone wicked
We've given technology
The power to run our lives
And their propaganda
Has left us desensitized
When was the last time
You shut your phone off
Try it for a few hours
You might get lost
In the realness of the world
And everything it has to offer
You might accept your reality
And you too can prosper
Its such a fresh breath
It can kill anxiety
Guilty for leaving the game
And loose all that noteriety
It's a double edge sword
That we constantly get cut by
How do we work around this
Unless we don't try
But then we loose at the game
That everyone is playing
We become the odd ball out
A laughing stock just saying
I really hope this bubble pops
I've lost too many friends
In that clout box
Everyone projects
And expects you to listen
As if they have the answers
Just speaking to the rhythm
Im rocking the boat
Good thing I know how to swim
I'll push that water level
Right to the rim
If I capsize
I know what to do
The Boy Scouts taught me
In that summer school
To be honest it taught me a lot
Especially with the order
It taught me how to operate
When in disorder
How to hold up a team
And to be a supporter
And when to be alone
And self discover
To be wise as a serpent
And peaceful as a dove
Constantly stay connected
To the one above
The world will mock him
And call you a fool
This is their espionage
And they want to rule
