Has given me writers block
Like I had so much shit
To say in the moment
But then it stopped like
I'm speechless
I don't know what to say I mean
Why children is shooting
Children today I mean
Human traffickers
Trapping children like prey I mean
The shit that happens
When our minds are absent away you see
As an artist I felt obligated
To write about this on paper
Everyday I'm waking up someone else
Is going under pavement
We march about gun control
But there's other weapons you know
We should focus on what corrodes
In the hearts of the broken souls
To prevent those who feel the need
To take someone else's life
Because they feel as if they've
Been wronged for so long, am I right?
But that does not give you
The privilege to murder the innocent
Hurt causes more hurt
With our thoughts trapped in the incident
We got children out here dying
In the arms of their parents
I wonder how we could move on
And pull together and manage

So I had woke up tryna get
Dressed to impress, then I ran out of luck
Yeah it took a lil bit
To get ready and eventually
I had missed the bus
So my muva had driven me up
To the building
Then we seen paramedics
Confused for a bit, looked around
All I seen was a lot of upset parents
They told us to go back home
Not letting no one know
What was pursuing
As I Stepped foot in the house
I had got a text from my man
Said it was a shooting
I could not believe
I had sunk in my seat
As I looked at the wall
Tears ran down my cheek
I had felt so lost
Didn't even wanna speak
Didn't even wanna rap
Didn't even wanna beat
I had hit as many people up
As possible to see if they was alright
Knew it was about to be a long night
Couldn't even fathom
When I heard about what happened
Pushing back my album
As if nothing ever mattered now I'm
Trynna speak for the people
Who was affected by it
At a time like this
I would regret my silence

Under the fact that your friend is gone
