God led us out of Egypt
We passed through the Red Sea
We saw Pharaoh's army perish
Then we realized we were free
We sat down on the ground
And wondered at everything
Then Moses gave a shout
And we all began to sing

We are God's children He is on our side
Yes we are God's children
And we want to do what's right

We set out on our journey
Towards the Promised Land
The wilderness we passed through
Was challenging and hard
But God heard all our cries
And He met all our needs
Each morning and at night
He gave us food to eat

Then one day we arrived at the mountain of God
And Moses went on up to meet the Lord
God said those who obey My voice and keep My Covenant
They shall be a special treasure To Me

You are My children
I bore you on eagles wings
Yes you are a holy nation
And a kingdom of priests

Moses came and called the elders
Then laid out all of God's words
The people gathered and said we'll obey the Lord
Then the Lord said to Moses behold I come to you
That the people may hear Me speak and believe for sure

I am your God
Have no God but Me
And don't worship anything on earth
You shall not kill or covet or steal
And don't take the Lord's Name in vain
Do not bear false witness against your neighbour
And don't commit adultery in your heart
Always honour your father and your mother
And always keep the Sabbath day holy

You are My children
So embrace My words of Law
Listen now My children
My word will guide and keep you strong
