Greg Galavotti - Normal Again

I don't know how
I don't know when
But I know this for certain my friends
We will get through this
If we don't lose our heads
And things will be
Normal again

Everything's shut down
We can't leave the house
And there ain't no paper products to be found
But I believe
With some common sense
Things will be
Normal again

To all of those
Who are suffering
And to the ones that are caring for them
All the world's love
We do send
Cause we know you're stretched thin

During this time of distancing
Don't let your heart be quarantined
There are still ways to show your love
To stay connected
And remain strong

Like most of you
I'm just making ends
Week to week
Paycheck to paycheck
Now our jobs
Have closed indefinite
But we will find a way yet

Let's take a lesson from years ago
And what past generations
Have endured
They fought through the most desperate of times
With meager means to survive
Perhaps it's time for our society
To address another underlying disease
Rather than grabbing everything you can hoard
Let equality be the new normal

I don't know how
And I don't know when
Things might get worse
Before the sun shines again
But rest assured
It will my friends
And things will be
Normal again
