Elegy - Abyss

I’ve never liked
Falling asleep escaping the time
Flying away, I’ve always been aware
Of the fragility in my spine
All I used to wish for
Were clocks, friends and gold
But as soon as I close my eyes
All I see is the essentials
Clinging to the moment
Living in the present
Is now so difficult
Lose yourself in the rising tide
Feel the danger of losing your life
Oh time
Why are you so mad at me
All my friends and I
We could drink some tea
Without any fear
One thousand years sounds like enough time to live,
Less than that would be ridiculous, as life is way too quick,
How am I supposed to build some memories,
If all I am obsessed with are my fears
I always wanted more
Now ladybirds can feel my joy
When at six o’clock in the morning
I can keep on dreaming
Clinging to the moment
Living in the present
Is now so difficult
Lose yourself in the rising tide
Feel the danger of losing your life
Oh time
Why are you so mad at me
All my friends and I
We could drink some tea
Without any fear
