Daniel on the High Dive - Broadcast from My Bedroom

They closed down the cinemas in Germany
And boarded up classrooms in Rome
America's eyes on their TVs
And factory workers went home
They locked all the doors to the shopping malls
And emptied the galleries too
There isn't a soul on the dance floor but
I'll send some sound waves to you
So, here's a broadcast from my bedroom
A lighthouse to run you aground
And I'll sing it out on this ship if it goes down
Because, boys and girls, it feels like the end of the world
The seats are abandoned in Parliament
And courtrooms have all been adjourned
Governments ordered we barricade borders
Now holidays are for the birds
And what if this could catch a satellite?
Maybe it won't but it might
Some thing up above that can answer you
That can still hear a prayer or two
So, here's a broadcast from my bedroom
A lighthouse to run you aground
And I'll sing it out on this ship if it goes down
Because, boys and girls, it feels like the end of the world
Skylines of great cities just aren't the same
The lights over Broadway went out
The money flew clean out of Wall Street
Now New York's a one-horse town
So, here's one last show from my radio
Just keep your feet on the ground
And I'll play it loud in the streets of this ghost town
So, boys and girls, you don't fall off the edge of the world
