Not prepared for what happened next, for what she experienced left her perplexed
From the dancing and flickering flame, it began painting letters spelling her name
Images of smoke from a distant place, she stares at them with horror on her face
Grasped by the narrative spell, it portrays stories straight from hell

She saw a young girl driven insane
Mutilating herself in vain
The rest of the matches are lit to forget
Something she instantly regrets

In an asylum a teen is held down
With medicine she is drowned
Two castrated men, a town which burns
Children skinned, buried alive, her stomach turns

The final vision is the darkest of all, watching two halves of a body fall
At the end the smoke sustains, it shows her the letters of her name
A memory reaches from deep within, words of wisdom even though grim
Gazing into the star littered sky, she smiles as she starts to cry

Shooting stars are lighting up the night
She understands what's coming to her delight
In the smoke appears a robed figure with a scythe
It comforts her it will be all right

Take my hand, follow me to the other side
I have witnessed all the tears you've cried
I see in your eyes, who died
I welcome your warm embrace

A frozen corpse lies on the floor
She is warm, she is no more
This story was left untold
Now every one knows how it unfolds
