Matthew Stephen - I Have Seen!

Life began in a garden
On that Resurrection Day
A tear, a gasp,"Rabboni!"
Sent Mary on her way
She ran as fast as feet could go
To town she finally came
She found the mourners hiding there
And burst into the place saying

I have seen the Risen Son
In glory now arrayed
Death and Hell He rose above
And triumphed over the grave
He walked with me in the garden
And there I heard His voice
I saw His resurrected face
And there I found my joy

We traveled to Emmaus
On that Resurrection Day
A stranger approached us
And he joined us on our way
He taught us and he sat with us
And he blessed and broke the bread
Our blinded eyes were opened
So we traveled back and said

We have seen the Risen Son
In glory now arrayed
Death and Hell He rose above
And triumphed o'er the grave
He walked with us and He taught us
And we listened to His voice
He opened up the Word to us
And there we found our joy

I found Him as a child
So alone, and lost, and scared
My mother sat and told me
That the God of all things cared
I prayed and found forgiveness
And a faith that never dies
His grace has been enough for me
And will bear me on to Life

I have seen the Risen Son
In glory now arrayed
Death and Hell He rose above
And pulled me from the grave
He walks with me where'er I go
I never shall despair
His Promise lives inside of me
His joy, and love, and peace, and hope
His mighty grace is all I know
His Kingdom is a coming place
Where we will see Him face to face
His Kingdom and His throne
Are all we will care to know

Life began in a garden
On that Resurrection Day
