Lux Kent - Marching

I saw determination I never saw before
Bullets and riffles as students touched the floor
The sun was scorching but they would never die
Students risking they lives for you and
I saw it with my very eyes
I saw it I was one of them
Marching up and down singing struggle songs
I was part of it we will fight for our freedom and they will hear our voice
We will make a noise, we would leave them with a choice
We here for change
I saw unity for the fight of equality
How dare I only bend a knee but never carry my shield
Spending time at the altar but not those without shelter
I'll gladly speak about Jesus but never follow his example
What's justice without some action
Where the beauty of grace without the truth
Tell me who’s got the answers
It's not the history books ‘coz it looks like time is still standing
Our reality is sadly shaped by our history
It's blasphemy that they didn't treat us like human beings
You an enemy
An enemy how can it be
I'm a master piece God is busy moulding me
We different but with some much commonality
