Gully Coast - Stream

Moonlight, fireflies, walking at midnight
Feels like my summer is gone
Some old man once told me be careful of blinking
Or else you'll find your seasons have gone

All my summer days leaving me, I'm in a new house, going crazy
Now I found the time so I can breathe
But it's too late

Why do the seasons change, how come the sun just fades away
And why did we never know, the ocean's depth or where we go when we die

Now I found a place the world would never dream to see
And I'm feeling like a butterfly going down the stream

Sunlight, butterflies, living off daytime
I figured out the old man was right
Cuz I closed both of my eyes and opened
at midnight and realized my seasons have died

It was twilight, but over bright, I've seen that all my evergreens have turned into grey
All these mysteries, killing me, so many things so curious but I cannot say

Why do the seasons change, how come the sun just fades away
And why did we never know, the ocean's depth or where we go when we die?

Now I found a place the world would never dream to see
And I'm feeling like a butterfly going down the stream

Moonlight, fireflies, sleeping at midnight
The old man laid his head down to rest
Every question, answered he puts on a smile
His dreams receding into the bed

He knows why the seasons change, he knows why the sun just fades away
And although he'll never know the ocean's depth he knows where we go when we die
