Misanthropes - Serpent King Donovan

Let me tell the tale of a snake named Donovan
He had one thousand scales across his body
With red scars on his skin
He would hoist his weight around his rivals
Strangling them to win
He was a fierce and gruesome warrior
And everyone loved him
They would laugh and cheer and call his name
Serpent Donovan
And when the snakes cried for somebody
He would come to them
Oh Donovan
Serpent King Donovan had taken up charge
He's a benevolent authority
And the people call him "sarge"
He kept getting all the ladies
Growing big and large
But there was still one little thing
That bothered Donovan
A snake he used to call his brother
Once marked up his skin
And now there is a cold vendetta held by Donovan
Oh, he must win!
Oh, Serpent Donovan you know that you must win
You got your name in a coffin
If you do lose to your kin
Choking and spitting up the
PAIN
STAINED
BLOOD
Your old and grizzled body as it tumbles in the mud
In a world that worships strength and feasts upon the weak
Donovan had no choice but to die upon his peak
Among the many paths that Donny had to take
This would be the one that made his body break
Oh, Serpent Donovan you know that you must win
You got your name in a coffin
if you do lose to your kin
Choking and spitting up the
PAIN
STAINED
BLOOD
Your old and grizzled body as it tumbles in the mud
In a world that worships strength and feasts upon the weak
Donovan had no choice but to die upon his peak
Among the many paths that Donny had to take
This would be the one that made his body break
