Perennial Quest - Nightmare Horizon

We moved from the shallows, and
Crept towards the deep
With the port growing distant
Our families weep
Desperate for harvest, and fertile new lands
With purpose our sails raised, the wind in command

Crash of the waves
Will the sea be my grave?
Navigate with the sun
Until new lands are won

We ride where the earth bends
We skim 'cross the deep
I pray to my maker
But I hope we don't meet
The wind guides our lives
Over cold depths beneath
In this nightmare horizon
Where the sea never sleeps

When Out of the depths old fables come true
Harsh waters are spotted of blood red and blue
The surface it breaks with a loud violent splash
Hungry beasts of the sea make this first trip our last

Crash of the waves
The sea now my grave
Our lives set with the sun
New lands won't be won

We road where the earth bends
We skimmed 'cross the deep
I prayed to my maker
But I hoped not to meet
Winds guided our lives
'Cross the cold depths beneath
In this nightmare horizon
Where the sea never sleeps

We road where the earth bends
We skimmed 'cross the deep
I prayed to my maker,
But hoped not to meet.
Winds guided our lives
'Cross the cold depths beneath
In this nightmare horizon
Where the sea never sleeps
