Lauren Grace - Humanity
On this side of heaven
There are things we want to know
Lots of complications
That are out of our control
We search for explanations
For a final certain word
We want to find a reason
Make sense of what we’ve heard
And although I sometimes wrestle with these questions in my head
Maybe it’s best I’m left without the answers instead
While I never want to hinder curiosity
I’ll let God be God and accept my humanity
On this side of heaven
There are things we want to know
Lots of complications
That are out of our control
We search for explanations
For a final certain word
We want to find a reason
Make sense of what we’ve heard
And although I sometimes wrestle with these questions in my head
Maybe it’s best I’m left without the answers instead
While I never want to hinder curiosity
I’ll let God be God and accept my humanity
You can ask away, ask away
There won't be an answer at the end of the day
You can ask away, ask away
Won’t be no resolution and to me that is okay
Cause although I sometimes wrestle with these questions in my head
Maybe it’s been I’m left without the answers instead
While I never want to hinder curiosity
I’ll let God be God and accept my humanity
