The Heart's Intent - Motivation

I am outside of my self
Looking in
Searching for
My motivation
What is it that I'm longing for
And if I find it
Will it be enough
There must be something
Something that's worth living for

Writing the last chapter of my book
Trying to remember the last time I used my eyes to look
To see something outside of me
But this silence is so deafening
Like it's taunting me calling me
My voice speaks I try to scream
But I hear nothing not a word
And yet creation speaks so softly
Your grace illuminates trough time and void

I am outside of my self
Looking in searching for
My motivation
What is it that I'm longing for
And if I find it
Will it be enough
There must be something

I am just a man
Help me understand
How this all began
From breath into sand
I am just a man

(Alone)
(No Hope)
Purpose meaning
Faith in what you can't see
How could there be
Anything outside of me
(Unknown)
You say to use reasoning
And yet I question everything
So if seeing isn't believing and Faith comes from hearing
Then I will listen but I can tell that's something's missing
(Hollow)
Is my heart to far from my head that instead, I can only hear my own thoughts
I'm running in circles fearing that I am lost
(Follow)
In your purpose in your meaning
What is it now that I'm feeling?
(Bestow)
I'm consumed by your love

Come home

I am just a man
