Holding my breath, I've been missing my cues
All the energy that I wish that I could use

A falsified perception from emotional abuse

These agonizing memories that I presently resent
I was never taught how to fix it
Way too caught up in my physical restrictions
Not knowing how I've been conditioned
And I always overlook it when I go into remission

Emotions feel safer if I'm keeping them concealed
But I'm always disappointed the second they get revealed so

I've had too many close calls
To give into the hurt and tell myself it's fine to fall
Making issues big doesn't mean your being small
Nobody knows how they'll react when their back is against the wall
So, just take it easy when you can
