Joshua Houeto - Bringing in the Light

Beloved, we are gathered here this afternoon to mourn to loss
But rejoice, over the life of our dear sister
Catherine Houeto, you see this morning I was reminded
Of a scripture from Revelation 21, specifically four and five I'd like to
Share that with you, and God shall wipe away the tears from
Their eyes; and there shall be no more death, no more sorrows
No more crying Josh, and neither shall there be any more pain
For the former things have passed away and He that sat on
The throne said, Behold, I make all things new, and He said unto me
Write these words for they are true and faithful, and now
I'd like to call her son Joshua Houeto to speak on her life

In the thick of night light will come through
In the thick of night light will come through
In the thick of night light will come through
Bringing in the light
Bringing in the light
In the thick of night light will come through
In the thick of night light will come through
In the thick of night light will come through
Bringing in the light
Bringing in the light

Wake up the slumber is over the darkness is gone
Bringing in the light
Bringing in the light
Bringing in the light

It's hard to say goodbye when someone you love has died
So much questions can arise have you sitting asking why
Why her, why him, why death, this is ridiculous, my mind
My heart, my chest, you see the pain persists
Grieving is grievous, but there is, hope, and I wish, I could
Of wrote, everything but my heart wouldn't cope
The thoughts in my mind wouldn't go to my wrist, but I know
That I'll say what I need to, really hope that's okay won't keep you
Very long I'ma speak from my heart, no script I'ma talk from the inside
Inside out see my lips still shout that the Lord is good despite all of the
Pain, I see His will throughout all of the rain, I seek his face, give Him
Glory cause He reigns even though it seems gory cause we gathering
Today, cause Catherine is gone in her passing away, I remember a
Psalm that we read one day, on her hospital bed, hospital bed
Weak in strength but strong in faith, I then said let's read and pray
Psalms thirty seven verse four and then it said to delight in the
Lord then He'll give your heart desire I read to this her, it's like
Her eyes lit up on fire, I would've never expected for her to reply
This after I questioned, asking mommy what is yours and she looked
Up and she said, I just wanna know the Lord, wanna know
Him even more, you can imagine of course, that I was more than
Blown away, you see, my mothers health was failing
She was dying every day, I expected to her say, I want
Healing from this pain, friends and family would cry
When they came and saw her state but she would wipe
Away our tears and rather be the one that prayed

She's gone now, but that's okay, cause precious to Lord is the death
Of his saints, she left behind a legacy and died in the night went to
Go be with Christ, now He's bringing in the light
