sunbeem - Dry Flowers

You put a flower in your pocket
To save it for a rainy day
But when you needed some sunshine in your life
The flower had withered away

He got you a bouquet
Of pretty roses at your door
Though you put them nicely in a vase
The petals fell to the floor

You can never quite change it
Or stop the leaves from turning brown
But there's a beauty in the sadness
Maybe you'll keep them around
