Khalie Jo - lighthouse (Iphone demo)

I'm the lighthouse keeper's daughter, you're the fisherman's son, we meet at the docks To talk about what we love about this fishing village
The antiques and history, the library is our second home
We love hearing folk tales from long ago, so we decide to make our own, oh

So we run to the lighthouse and no where else
Find the ropes and tie them together, hoping to catch the ghosts, oh
To the lighthouse, away from the town, the cobblestone streets are meant for me

Take a stroll down the beach when it's cloudy outside so then we can be alone
We can fight in the sand with our rain boots on
Wear our finest knitted sweaters that we made on Christmas
I know your father is friends with mine
They were alarmed and brought together because of us
It does get lonely here so we write our own poems about love

So we run to the lighthouse and no where else
To the lighthouse, the lighthouse
It's the only place that has the ropes we can tie along the stairs
To see if the ghosts are still there

We meet at the docks tonight, sneaking out so the lights can't be bothered
We wanna go row our boats somewhere else but we know the comfort's in each other
I take your hand and you say, "let's run away to the city
Go to a cabin if we want, have our own holiday instead"
"We don't need to make money, we just got each other honey, we can do this all we Want and tie ropes like the ribbon in your hair"

To the lighthouse, the highest we can ever go and no where else
Feel the energy coming through the waves as they hit the rocks
To the lighthouse and no where else, find the ropes
Tie them along the stairs so we can see if the ghosts from our past are back
To the lighthouse, to the lighthouse, winter solstice on its way to meet us once again
Oh, our lighthouse in us
To the lighthouse and no where else
