My name is Oliver Queen, for 5 years I was stranded

I met a soldier while I was on the island
A strong man with a sword- betrayed by friends
Even though our circumstances were ugly
Back then, me and him were like war buddies
Unfortunately, Events led to my choice
To end his life, no victory to rejoice
But, he survived and in the present time
I won the fight but I couldn't save my mother's life
