Ill Omens - JANUARY 6TH

The sixth was unlike anything I'd ever seen
These weren't protestors, these were people rioting
They preach law and order, and yet breached the borders
They say back the blue, now a guard dead, the horror
Let's be honest, if this was black lives matter, there'd be a slaughter
But of course not, privilege for a white man's order
And I can admit, even though I'm white
Because I can see the violence through my eyes
You brought Molotov cocktails, and homemade bombs
Of course I wouldn't praise you in my songs
Just a bunch of losers crying bout how they lost
The police escorted them off
How is this better than peaceful protesting
How is this, not enough for a million forces
How did it come to be like this
Congrats donald trump, I hope you got your kicks
I hope your children don't grow up in this world
I hope the hate goes away, flush it down and swirl
I hope for peace of mind, fires burn in my head, sometimes
What can I wish for, this to be over, not by a long shot, I hope you all rot
I watch politicians cowering from their Frankenstein
The monster they created not on their side
It's so ironic and avoidable
The one thing I can say is prayers and condolences
Isn't that what you said when schoolchildren were dead?
Isn't that what you said instead of helping
I grew up with school shooter drills,
Because you couldn't grow up and learn that AKs kill
I ain't got no love for you
I ain't got no hope for you
I can't believe, what this has come to
Violating votes, against the people's wishes
For your motives, and you'll still get reelected
It's just that I can't understand it
I wrote this on the ninth 'cause I couldn't handle it on the sixth
The textbooks said we were the best
Now I look around, and see grown adults with arrested development
Are you mental? Are you dumb?
I know just where it went wrong
Once it turned into a cult
But it's been that way all along
