The Flood - Doin' it Again

Waking up this morning was like being born again
There was vomit on my clothes and blood was dried up on my skin
My head was banging like a drum but what was driving me insane
Was after all those years and promises I was doin' it again

Doin' it again lord I been doin' it again
So now its time to sing that sad old song of misery and pain
I'm so tired of being lonely and defeated
That I curse the day I ever was created
And though I wish that I could leave this song unsung
And I wish I had the guts to shut my mouth and carry on
I don't have the right right now to sing about my pain
But I don't know what else to do so I'm doin' it again

I lay down in the shower and I cried
I thought of all the ugly things I'd done and I wished that I could die
The sun was blaring in the sky, the light was burning out my eyes
And the one thing I could think of that was satisfy my mind
I'd sunk so low I couldn't even think
And my hands were shaking like a dog so I poured myself a drink...

Oh I was doin' it again...
