King Braize - For Black Women

Braize
Well alright
Korruption
Light women dark women tall women short women
Hyped women lax'd women slim women fat women
I love black women
And just black women
Silly niggas like I'm not dating these black girls no way
Ok
I don't gotta rap like Hov for you to feel this
And I ain't tryna be the realest just being a realist
If you don't love what you came from what yo deal is
Not loving your natural skin tone's a mental illness
Beyond a billion things that makes them so great
Imagine surgeries in place just to steal yo shape
And people getting lip injections just to steal yo face
I'm thinking all super heroes don't wear no cape
Gotta be hard for them to love us at times when we don't even respect them
We hurt them then let others when we're suppose to protect them
We were their first loves yet we're the first to neglect them
So a message to the fellas we gotta do better
How dare we disrespect the mere reason we get fresh
Stop all that madness black women created fashion
Think back to when yo momma had nothing and made shit happen
Use every bone in yo body at war to protect her blackness
Her sadness never resulted to you feeling the same
If ya smile was her gain she would deal with that pain
And so it's clear a black women gave us our best years
And yet somehow their cries for help fall on deaf ears
I'm dead serious appreciate what they gave us
Imagine what our lives would be like had they gave up
If Harriet Tubman said fuck it I wasn't brave that underground wave
Would have been nothing to slaves
If Rosa Parks felt in her heart that her legs can make it too
She reached the back of the bus we'd probably still be segregated
What if Oprah Winfrey had never made it
And became an inspiration to so many generations
There would be no Issa Rae's Shonda Rhymes Viola Davis
Regina King's Taraji P's they're all amazing
Even the data stated their the most educated
Why they don't have their own month celebrating all of their greatness
A standing ovation to these phenomenal queens
Maya Angelou's poem started a love of rhyming for me
Michelle Obama is as popping as her husband
And I love it!
For black women
