honey tea drinker - where do the birds go?

Wish I never would've told you,
You don't look at me the same.
Now you try to fix my body,
and my stupid little brain.
Put the pencil to the paper,
Always ends up looking bad.
Always ends up in the wastebin,
and I end up pretty mad.
The bird thats scared of thunderstorms,
He can't find where to hide.
None of us can hear his screams,
We keep him locked outside.
We like to laugh and point our fingers
at the fireflies.
In mason jars, we capture them, and watch them as they die.
I don't think about my future,
its not even real to me.
Guess I think that when the time comes,
I'll be dead by 23.
Wish you never would've told me,
I don't think of you that way.
Try my best to just forget it,
But I can't look at you the same.
The bird thats scared of thunderstorms,
He can't find where to hide.
None of us can hear his screams,
We keep him locked outside.
We like to laugh and point our fingers
at the fireflies.
In mason jars, we capture them, and watch them as they die.
