Oh, Hooray - torment the butterfly (NPR Tiny Desk Contest 2021)

I'm not sure why you still talk to me
I know we're here so you're not alone - but you are in your heart
You say you're fine or alright when you're not
So we don't have to crumble this charade
Or tell our friends we're not okay
We're lost like moths, torment the butterfly
I dreamt too long on my side of the bed - of the first night that we met
When we kissed origami was in our lips; I don't know why I care
Maybe it's so I can reminisce; an us before this us existed
Lost like moths, torment the butterfly
I am leaving
I'm leaving you tonight
I swear I'm leaving you tonight
Tonight, tonight, oh tonight
Maybe I can learn to love myself
Stop learning it from someone else
Lose the moths, become the butterfly
