Joseph Ditch - The Ember
Spark the match and light the flame
Nothing here remains the same
Futile thought of comfort wanes
All of life is stripped away
Gather all the kindle near
Time to burn the world right here
Pour yourself into this life
See the efforts of your strife
In darkened night rolls the fog
Creeping in amongst the bog
The tide fells down and reals the floor
To the depths forever more
The ember like the spirit moves
Lights the way from me to you
Grasping at the path before
The lines drawn on the blood soaked floor
The match has lit and set the blaze
Smoke and ash inducing haze
Fill your lungs to numb the shame
The ember has now turned to flame
Left alone in solomn state
Whilest you've gone to seal your fate
I rise again to break these walls
Your lost inside those empty halls
Suffering under darkened skies
No one around can hear my cries
A Withering heart stays strong and true
The living one which gets me through
Curled alone underneath the steps
Cold and tired and soaked in sweat
Moonlight beams to this creation
The soul exposed by illumination
The ember like the spirit moves
Lights the way from me to you
Grasping at the path before
The lines drawn on the blood soaked floor
The match has lit and set the blaze
Smoke and ash inducing haze
Fill your lungs to numb the shame
The ember has now turned to flame
