Dorin - Robot

I've got a robot in the kitchen
But it doesn't always listen
Sometimes I wonder if the program has a bug
'Cuz when I ask a simple question
The silly answer keeps me guessing
It's a puzzle that's impossible to solve
Like I'll say, "Hey
What's the weather s'posed to be like today?
Will this sweater be enough to keep me warm?"
And it says
"The temperature is great
And all day more of the same
Yes, clear and sunny
But then possibly a storm"
Today it's finally the weekend
Which means I finally get to sleep in
Cartoons and cereal and not a lot to do
I need a music intermission
Too hard to make my own decision
I'd better ask the robot what to listen to
So I say, "Hey
Can you find a little music to play?
Something happy like a catchy sing-along"
And it says,
"Here's a tune you'll love
So go on, turn the volume up"
But then it plays a slow and melancholy song
Automated
Modulated
Technologically advanced
Innovated
Calculated
Built to answer voice commands
Artificial intelligence
Doesn't always make perfect sense
And when it doesn't compute
I think it's time to reboot
I've got a hundred million questions
A curiosity obsession
I wanna know, can penguins fly?
And what's infinity?
If I had all the information
About the nature of creation
I think I could understand this life of mystery
So I say, "Hey
I heard there's no sound in outer space
What's the story, robot? Tell me if it's true"
It says,
"I'm not quite sure
But on a topic similar
I've added noodles to your grocery list for you"
Automated
Modulated
Technologically advanced
Innovated
Calculated
Built to answer voice commands
Artificial intelligence
Doesn't always make perfect sense
And when it doesn't compute
I think it's time to reboot my robot
