Vold Book - All Hallows Eve

Doom is on the horizon
It's been building for so long
T'was with us, all along

Listen to the sound of the inevitable collapse
Our hearts once knew the answers to the questions no one asked
The riddle, of the mystery, of enigmas cannot be missed
So simple and obvious
How could you not know

That the answer was love

That time has come and gone
Now, your money, so sublime
Is all covered in mud and blood

We'll bury it

Leaving no stone unturned
In a vigil for those
Who lost their very lives
An effigy, and a purpose
In a unified disguise

Hey! Right-wing politicians
And greedy capitalists
Your notice has been served
You'll get what you deserve
Not by me, that's not my style
By those waiting in the aisles
By those crossing countless miles
To rid the world of you
Well hell, I don't mind
Maybe I'll pitch in
If I can find the time

I've got no money
I've got no safety net
I've only got
Eyes that see
And limbs that bleed
That's more than you've got
Soon enough it seems

The tourniquet
Placed around your neck
By my associates
Was once golden and earned
It was donated to our cause
Shortly after I was burned
For spreading truth
Among libertines
Who watched in quiet reservation
While us pagans were relieved
Of our lives
By folks like you
From another time

Now what about your virtue
I haven't seen it all
I've been too busy sweeping
And cleaning out your stalls
Full of piss and denial
Unsightly cowardice
These are the signs of your virtue
And no excuse will do
The world is full of the resources
That you wealthy have abused

Can't wait to see the looks upon your faces
When the flames erupt around you
And the villagers surround you
Building gallows in the street
Davos is full
Of supple, tasty pigs
Who roast, with garlic and vinegar
And pair so well with wine
I can smell the brine
Of their sweaty consciences
Blaming me for what must be said
Calling the kettle black

Trying to distract everyone
From climate change

Our generations won't put up with this shit any longer
We've got real issues to solve
Thanks a lot, and now dissolve
Into the storybook
Where we won't care to look
Because your choices were so vulgar

You sustained world hunger
Because it sustained you

When Christmas comes around
Just remember the heartbeats
Of those who suffer
In the cold of the frozen night
Underneath our highways
In their tents tonight
Without rights
In the lands of the free

Living like animals
And busking coins for bread
Your snobbery and lassitude
Are why they're not fed

No this is not a threat
Not at all my friend
Just a humble warning
Take heed of what's been said
And study your history

We'll never accept your feudal plot
Poverty is everywhere
And notice what you've got

Enjoy it while it lasts
The Bastille shall be emptied
And the streets are now our home

Your incisions in our lives
Have torn our families apart
It's what we have in common
And we organize the best

This situation should never have happened
But you scoundrels always rest
On your laurel waterbeds
So more than a tithe is needed
To tilt the table back
To equalize the stack

We will build
Societies of virtue
From stomachs that are filled
And everyone will do, what they decide to
To earn their right of way
The artists, and historians, and philosophers
Will finally have a say

For the soul of a nation
Is what it's all about
To build a better world
Where no one has to shout

To all my followers out there
To the ones who still care
On Halloween night
When the harvest is ripe
We will make a show of force
Against injustice everywhere

It's time, we ensnared
The scammers, and the liars, and the thieves
Trillions of dollars will be released
And donated to the cause
Of destroying money

A reckoning shall take place
On All Hallow's Eve, in a return to the grave
