It's a day lacking surety
Taken chance and opportunity
To step outside of old plans into something that's new to me
And follow God's direction into seminary study
Hoping my eyes will be opened by this direction that seems muddy

I wonder what newness this place will bring to me
Will this bring life or harm
Bear fruit or weeds
Will this freshen my scars, or provide what I need
Is this the direction of destiny
Or a choice made desperately
All this ambiguity has really left me questioning
See, these months
Filled with questions
A year filled with tensions
Despite former apprehension
I'm trusting in this direction
This meaningful future: changing lives through truth, but
Only time will tell if this will sprout from me new buds
Even if this journey doesn't bring roses
I know that from within an anthology composes
And in chaos and triumph life will flow
And I will continue building, this I know
