Adrian Z. Rios - All About An Apple Tree

I've got an apple tree in my backyard
In the back of my mind
No bad apples in the bunch
All of them are ripe
There's a whole lot of love
They're the apples of my eye
I can pick anyone and I know they're just my type
All of their nutrients, they bring me back to life
They say love doesn't grow on trees
But I have one that defies reality
I'd been waiting so long, so patiently, for the right seeds to come along
More family
I found my garden, and it found me
I love to water my apple tree
In the same regard, they water me
I'm all about my apple tree
I must be doing something right to get to have 'em and keep 'em
I'll never mess it up, I never wanna see them go
Or ever see them rot
I know I'll never know how it feels to have that problem
It's a pressure endlessly
And it's an unknown that's so common
"When will I finally find good friends
My Central Perk
My Friends apartment?"
Got the answer to each question, it feels so damn cathartic
They say love doesn't grow on trees
But I have one that defies reality
I'd been waiting so long, so patiently, for the right seeds to come along
More family
I found my garden, and it found me
I love to water my apple tree
In the same regard, they water me
I'm all about my apple tree
How else can I explain 'em in a poem type of feel
I mean, they're the reason for this song, so, they inspire me
They bump me on the head, they give me good ideas
Sometimes the shade under a tree does more than the sun could for me
When I'm in the dark for too long
I know I've got love and protection from right up above
It's a time to gather and enjoy each other
To enjoy what we've got
To enjoy the fruits of our labor
To have some fun
They make the season more of that than it would
They're nice and sweet and so healthy and good
I'm all about my apple tree
