On a crowded hillside they came to hear
From a rising teacher, the one who could heal
And so He showed them how to live God's way
And then He taught them how they should pray
When He prayed

"Father Your will be done, Father Your kingdom come
Here on earth as it is in heaven
Lead us not to temptation, keep us from the evil one
For Your name is holy"

At the foot of a mountain they came and stayed
Waiting for their teacher who told them to pray
While He went to seek out his Father's will
He made the choice to follow him still
When He prayed

"Father Your will be done, Father Your kingdom come
I'll drink this cup, yes I am willing
Lead me through this temptation, keep me from the evil one
Not my will but Your will be done"

And Your will was done, as You sent Your Son
For He was willing, a sin offering
He conquered sin and death, He conquered fear and shame
And when He drank that cup, it glorified Your name
And now we pray

"Father Your will be done, Father Your kingdom come

Lead us through our temptations, keep us from the evil one
