it's ok - Don't Talk To Me At The Supermarket
I walk into my local Supermarket
Just to grab a few things that I might need
A couple of spuds some cream and some toilet paper
Bread and beer
I see someone I know near the bread isle
so I get the spuds from fresh produce first
Someone I know is just round the corner
Grab the cream and now time to get the bread
As I get close n closer to the aisle
I wonder are they still standing there
I move my trolley and I take a look and I see,
they're still there
Don't talk to me at the Supermarket
Its not the place to talk at all
Don't talk to me at the Supermarket
Don't stop to talk to me at all
I never really wanted to use self checkout
But it is better than standing around in line
Scan my items, swipe my card and I bag my stuff up
I'm outta here
The Bottle shop is right next to the Supermarket
I hope they have the beer that I like in stock
Sometimes they run out and I leave unhappy
As I walk from one shop into another
I see all my friends, They're all in town
Pretend to use my phone so I get by unseen
They didn't care
Don't talk to me at the Supermarket
Its not the place to talk at all
Don't talk to me at the Supermarket
Don't stop to talk to me at all
A trip to the shop should only take about 10 mins
now I'm already at 45
I walk into the Bottle shop and to my surprise
There's no one there
So I browse up and down the wine isle,
Grabbed a red wine for cooking some roast lamb
I look through the premix and the cider cabinet
But I decide I don't need any of that
As I open the fridge I see there's no beer
and the shop assistant has caught my eye
she approaches and opens up her mouth to talk
I leave the shop
