Dani Lee Pearce - Corvid XIX
An old birds dynasty made its name in pleasantry's autumn
Dove down deep and plundered all the silver from their neighbors willing treasury
Fell one by one in greek vase patterns from the sky
Down the hill nearby
The old king always a young king in thinking
Peace with the monkeys and trolling upon the dinosaurs of their kingdom
Always invading
Always stirring up fun
To keep kingdoms active
And the pheasant folk entertained
Gather they do where the train makes their stop
Leaving on the same crusade and coming right back
Marching in circles or perhaps patrolling
That which they've made their fortress
Xe collects the mass grave of yet another dynasty generation passed on
Corvid XIX pleasant and ruthless
Dyed in the slaying of eight hostile birds of prey
Meals of plenty for the children
Dances of entry for the layers
Xe uses the bones to line the boundary of where the roosting
Where the next kingdom comes to be
