Royal T - NOT MY STORY

The name's James, and I'm in eleventh grade
Thinking 'bout how my life won't be the same
But who's to blame, my lame claim to fame
Or the man who walked out for some pocket change
Let's rearrange, I'm going back to the past
A year before my last homie past
He wanted to escape his fate by selling that gas
But in return he got the life fact of life he already had
It's kind of wack, what some will do for a stack
Or how a piece of lead can make such an impact, that's facts
I guess we got to react
And understand our lives are never completely intact

Girl you can't bore me with the lies that you tell
I wish I had a dollar for every time that I fell
You know me well, that's why you're hitting my cell
Wishing that I had some love and I was open to sell
Your love was pitiful, but I was loving your visuals
Now your bluff is changing me into a criminal
Got me physical, reaching for the pistol is critical
Now I'm on the block selling that mystical
I'm identical to my homie, headed to the grave
I'm a slave to the money, and the money to the bank
Cash flowing from the buyers, thinking their gon' be the same
But they can't be, one day they'll leave for some pocket change

Yeah, that night I went to the corner
Had my doubts about the product but I smelled the aroma
Knew I had to get the bones, hop up in the Toyota
Call my big brother Noah to make an O.G. persona
Rolling up to the spot, slowly reach for the glock
The lights flickering, stop, watching out for the cops
See my homies little brother walking up to the drop
I told him if he wants to buy he better have stupid knots but he said
"Whats up man, you know me and my mama really need the bread
Can you give me the weed and I'll head out and leave
I won't tell anybody I won't tell them a thing," It's kind of
Strange how he's acting, skittish in every fashion
Shaky breath like he was laughing, reaching back like he was packing
I told him make the transaction, he told me no with a passion
I said you're in a dangerous situation, what are you lacking
He pushed me back, I hit the fence
He swung one more time but I made hime miss
He pulled out the shotty but I was quick I shot him in the chest
Before he could even flinch
Now my best friends bro is lying in the streets
I went through all of his pockets and he had enough cheese
I don't understand this could've gone with such ease
Now I'm standing over a body and I'm being told to freeze
