Hitomi Malene Sato - Fly Away From Here

She was not quite a girl, not quite a woman,
learning to stand on her own feet
the quiet type, sweet and innocent
barely eighteen

she had never seen the darker side of life,

who said that you could be the one to open her eyes,

Now she stares out her window, into the rain,
Praying she could fly, fly away from here,

cold hard steel eases her pain, keeps her from drowning in her tears,

she wishes she could fly, fly away from here

Days turn into months, months into years,
as her smile fades away,

she dies daily, and a new girl,
is resurrected from her grave

Oh how they held her while she was crying,
but in their eyes she saw the question,

they don't know inside she is slowly dying,
and their masquerade is killing her

So she stares out her window, into the rain,
wishing she could fly, fly away from here,

cold hard steel eases her pain, keeps her from drowning in her tears,

she wishes she could fly, fly away from here

And now her own mind has turned against her,

there is nowhere she can truly feel safe,
bitterness has twisted and warped her,

she's looking for someone to prove she's worth it to save,

So she stares out her window, into the rain,
Praying she could fly, fly away from here,

The sun comes out, as the clouds they break,
She wipes away her tears,

With hope she will fly, fly away from here,     Oh...     fly away from here.
