Rizo Balic - Living In Poverty

In every part of their bodies
There's fear at its peak
Driving them to despair
On dark stormy night
All shaking like a leaf
They're clinging for their lives

Knowing there is not way back
Frighten they are looking silently
At each other for a while
Confidently nodding their heads
With shy smile on their faces
They start walking again

They know they can't stop now
They've to carry on regardless
What's going to happen to them
Then knew they've to succeed
For the sake of their children
Left behind all in tears

They're firmly holding hands
Slowly moving towards the other end
Looking to find safe shelter
To take a short breather
For their exhausted legs
After walking many miles without rest

When you're living in poverty
Life it's constant misery

It's very hard to break free
When you're stack at the bottom
And everyone washes the hands of you
As if you're some kind of disease
You're left on your own
To get better or vanish for good

They couldn't stand it any longer
Watching their children starving
Every time when there's a famine
They knew they've to do something
They can't wait for handouts
Because they're living in poverty

Life is never ending struggle
When you've to depend on others
Even it it's against your principles
When you're stack in poverty
It's so hard to cope knowing
Everybody is giving up on you

They don't want to be remembered
As another number in the books
A region with a huge death rate
Where they belongs since their birth
They knew they've to stop
Living in poverty once and for all

After they'll earn enough money
Their children will have an easy life
After all they've gone trough
They're holding all their hopes
For a safe return home
One day soon in a near future
