Where did Tom Joseph go I heard he's missing in the swamp
How did he get there, I don't know but I bet it started with the missus and a romp
He like to sneak up behind her
While she's was working in the kitchen, and that's a really bad idea

He always treated her rough, didn't respect her much

When he was drunk he and the wife they would really fight like cats and dogs
One night the neighbors heard a ruckus, so they called the law
But when they got there Mrs. Joseph was the one they saw
When asked about the fuss, what all the noise was
And why ole Mr. Tom was missing
She told em "I don't know, he was in a hurry to go
He said something about going fishing"
There's a blood hound sniffing round looking for some where ya hiding Tommy clues
Found some fishing gear, some empty bottles of beer and his bloody shoes
God only knows if it was really his wife that sent him a missing
Now all they got, is real bad tie the knot and wife who is under suspicion
A real piece of work, the man was always a jerk
If you knew him you surely wouldn't blame her
The misses ain't gonna tell, his old trucks up for sale
Cause he ain't coming back to claim her

Can't say for sure but I heard he buried somewhere near a stump
Now Mr. Joseph she's as happy as she can be, yes she is
It's just a well, he'd a landed up in jail or kept her living in misery
She's planning vacations to exotic destinations
Spending all the insurance money
