C. Price - Grandma's Prayers

I wanna dedicate this song to a very special person that God has placed in my life
My Grandmother
It's been a long time coming but I thank God that He's brought you this far
All of the prayers that you've prayed were never in vain
God is still answering
Let's talk about it
Let's take a trip down memory lane where it all began
Small town raised in the country all she knew back then
Was content had little money but was richer in faith
I never seen there was a time we had no food on the plate
In the fields she picked cotton at a very young age
And she made something out of nothing with that minimum wage
Wasn't afraid see she was stern but you knew that she meant well
And if you ever stopped to visit had a story to tell
And she cared about her family it was all that she had
Nine kids many offspring the matriarch of the fam
Granddaddy instilled the discipline Grandma did the same
I know there was some sleepless nights down on her knees she was praying
She would sang an old hymnal something like Blessed Assurance
She kept her faith in Jesus Christ and yes He gave her endurance
She was nourished with God's Word knew He would never fail
I thank the Lord for keep on answering my Grandma's prayers
You gotta keep holding on holding on
As life keeps going on going on
You're weak but keep going strong going strong
I'm so thankful for my Grandma's prayers
You gotta keep holding on holding on
As life keeps going on going on
You're weak but keep going strong going strong
I'm so thankful for my Grandma's prayers
You know a lot of times we wonder why God has blessed off of prayers we didn't even pray
And many times it's because of the prayers of our grandparents and those who've gone before us has prayed
Thank you
You made a milestone God He done brought you to eighty
I'm sure sometimes you look around see many people didn't make it
Things look shaky your body aching wanna numb all the pain
Can't even count the testimonies how you have overcame
On a cane or in a walker you gone give Him the praise
And if you can't do none of that throw up that hand and you wave
I'm amazed that you can see your training wasn't for nothing
The many days I'd misbehave you had to toughen your loving
You saw something I couldn't see but steered me in right direction
So now I know who I can go to He will hear my confession
It's a blessing that God's kept you while you're here we will cherish
And when He takes you to be with Him you'll rejoice in His presence
You gotta keep holding on holding on
As life keeps going on going on
You're weak but keep going strong going strong
I'm so thankful for my Grandma's prayers
You gotta keep holding on holding on
As life keeps going on going on
You're weak but keep going strong going strong
I'm so thankful for my Grandma's prayers
You gotta keep holding on holding on
As life keeps going on going on
You're weak but keep going strong going strong
I'm so thankful for my Grandma's prayers
You gotta keep holding on holding on
As life keeps going on going on
You're weak but keep going strong going strong
I'm so thankful for my Grandma's prayers
