Rational Simon - Stonefish

Back in 1993
Kuwait was the place to be
We went over to the beach
To get wet and go swim in the sea

I ran down to the water
The salty wind in my hair
I paddled out a bit
Splashed my arms and didn't care

And then the pain came surging
I felt fear and confusion
What's just happened why am I screaming
I can feel some kind of poison

It's creeping up my leg
I can barely breath
Get me out I'm going to drown
Jesus Christ please come save me

Of all the fish in the sea
Of all the fish in the sea
Of all the fish in the sea
Why d'ya have to sting me

Of all the fish in the sea
Of all the fish in the sea
Of all the fish in the sea
Why d'ya have to sting me

My foot was like a balloon
I couldn't walk for days
The Doctor said next time
Make sure you wear your jelly sandals

I'll never forget that morning
I drank so much sea water
That ugly fish defended himself
Against my foot

It stayed swelled up for months
Weeks even years
I don't know man
I was only six years old

I still remember being carried into Shrimpy's for lunch
Like I ever wanted to see a fucking fish again
I couldn't walk because my foot was so swolen
But this time I sat down and ate a fish
And I felt like I had my revenge
I ate many more fish as a child
Even though I hated the taste
It was me against the sea
I'm Different now though

Of all the fish in the sea
Of all the fish in the sea
Of all the fish in the sea
Why d'ya have to

Of all the fish in the sea
Of all the fish in the sea
Of all the fish in the sea
Why d'ya have to

Of all the fish in the sea
Of all the fish in the sea
Of all the fish in the sea
Why d'ya have to sting me
