Debris - Portrait

Who is it you see in the mirror?
Do you like the way they gaze back?
A lonely dark figure
Anticipating to fade to black
Reflections through windows
As I wave goodbye
Rain falls, it echoes
Oh, how the clouds cry
Same gaze in the mirror
Though it refuses to smile back
Crazy how an angel
Feels so bland
Nervous and frightened
A dim room you can't lighten
Just once you've let go
A grip tightens
She's just an angel in a frame slung around somewhere
Just like a star that's crashed into the earth, not wanting to look back
Bright brown eyes in the mirror
There she is, smiling back
Light in the tunnel, drawing nearer
Only a couple dents and cracks
Her big heart, is swollen
From the love she gave
She's full of devotion
Take it to the grave
She's just an angel in a frame slung around somewhere
Just like a star that's crashed into the earth, not wanting to look back
She'll never look back
