Ryan Tynan - Happiness

Happiness
That word, to me, is crazy
Today, I felt it in the breeze
It was a reminder to me
A reminder to take in all the possibilities and all the abundant energy
It will make you smile
It might even make you laugh at me
Running water
Slowly dancing
Slowly carrying me away in a tidal wave
It's like loose canons dealing out blows
Our brains are no longer in control

I start to adore
Maybe its ignorant bliss
Maybe it's a fleeting moment of happiness
I'll take it for what it is
I'll take it over feeling like I'm covering up my emotions with that blanket you bought me
But that's just what I did
There's something fun about knowing every one in the room is against you
There's something fun about the fear I face
And how I overcome it everyday
The feeling of fresh snow falling on your face when you step off the plane
It's the first Christmas without her, but the family is doing okay
There's a brand new puppy to play with and a baby cousin to carry
He didn't fit right in my arms
He looked just like grandma
I hope this feeling stays with me
