Spider-Fram - Prologue

Welcome to the single greatest night of your lives
Setting high expectations, I'm just taking my time
And a piece of yours as well, with some secrets I will tell
This young man's got bars to drop, oh no! That one fell...

I can see that I have grown, I'd just like to make it known
That I will create my own happiness, and I will sit on my own throne
So I've come to this theater, and put hours into this script
Just to hear all my anxieties tell me that I can't do this?

I don't mind, I'm not worried, not even in the slightest
If nothing more, at least I can say that I tried this
You like this? I write this. I might even cite this
This cipher's like cider so sweet you cannot deny this

That's fine, I'll unwind, with a cheap glass of wine
Though I know liquor is swifter for these thoughts that run in my mind
A penny for your thoughts? No I'll need much more than a dime
To illustrate this mentality well I guess all in due time

Now if you'll indulge and drink just a little bit more
Maybe these next few moments won't be such a bore
But At least I'm keeping rhythm, and I hope you've been keeping score
That's 19 lines for Cody, but I've got 24 more

What I'm saying is welcome home, this is what I've all waited for
A simple night, with light laughs, I'm sure are what's in store
So sit back and relax as we revert to concepts core
Of a young man looking back, fears hold me back no more

I've changed so much, but one point I can't miss
Is music has been my medicine, and it's as sweet as a kiss
You like this? I write this. I might even cite this,
But this pilot's gone rogue, flying blind and relentless

On stage or in the air, no I can't fight this feeling
I tried to go fast but I burst through the ceiling
and I love to write raps, but I fear I'm not that appealing
I Don't mess with the trap, no I'm not that concealing

I got nothing to hide, there's no need to tell lies
and I drank all the wine, and I've lost too much time
But I faked it till I made it, now I'm here to take it
And honestly, I'll probably take it till I take it home and break it

Man this gonna be a lot, but wait for what's in store
And if it's all the same to you, I have just a few more
So do me a favor, and remember all your worth
Cause honestly I never thought, that I could really make this work

The stagehands have been set, and it's time to turn on the lights
And I know I'm not yet a vet, but I'll be seasoned in time
So without further ado, let's shine this light on mine
But, this intro's been enough... my sins are on the line
