The Nigel Purcell Trio - He was so happy (Remastered)

He was talking to his pet Cat
The Cat replied don't talk like that
And he was stunned
Because it answered back
Next doors Dog came around to see
A talking Cat, I can't believe
Well I've never heard of such a thing

The Magpies and the Crows agree
So did the worms and slimy things
A spiders web plays harp upon the breeze

He was so happy

And there he sits and says meow
Sometimes a woof a bark so loud
Today he said he's learned to talk to Cows
He whispers in the Horses ear
And notices no Humans near
The animals don't seem to share their fear

And now he prowls upon all fours
And looks outside through bolted doors
And with these drugs
He can't hear them no more

He was so happy
